A1 portfolio page: 'Drape' Final Outcome

4 x A5 sized sheets. I was given a duvet cover, which I turned into a multi-functional cape. Using acrylic paint, I painted the black geometric shapes onto the cape, which was inspired by my research.

A3 sketchbook pages: 'Drape' Research and Design Development

I began the 'Drape' project with research into designers and artists for ideas and inspiration. I draped my fabric onto a mannequin, and then photographed and drew designs for development.

A1 portfolio page: 'Deconstruct/Reconstruct' Visualisations and Samples

2 x A4 sized sheets. I produced design visualisations using photoshop for the 'De/Re' project. I also included samples of what I'd use in these designs: honeycomb pleat, box pleat and folded pleats.

I made a jacket out of 1980's patterned curtains which I bought from a charity shop. I incorporated pleating into the jacket so that it keeps a sense of what it used to be.

Before I deconstructed the pair of curtains, I took photographs and made drawings of the item for primary research. I positioned the item in various ways when photographing it, to give me ideas for shapes, techniques and patterns when designing. In the drawing above, I have used felt tip, charcoal and tracing paper.

A2 sized paper. This is a series of four one-minute drawings of a woman, using graphic markers.

A2 sized paper. Series of three five-minute drawings, drawn in graphite.

A2 sized paper. Series of four thirty-second drawings, done in graphic markers. The woman is stood on something she's pulling, which creates tension within my set of drawings.

A2 sized paper. I used charcoal to do this 10 minute drawing of a woman.

A1 portfolio page: 'Media' Final Piece and Development

A3 scan of my mixed media final piece which is made out of: collage of photos, bark, drawn on acetate, felt tip and black marker. Beneath my final piece shows an experiment that influenced my final outcome; it was created by drawing on acetate and cellophane, and then layering them on top of each other.

A1 portfolio page: 'Inside Out' Design Development

By draping my fabric to the mannequin I was able to produce these sketches, which are done using black marker and graphite stick. I've included samples of what will be used on the final outcome: puff binder painted over in acrylic and knitted fabric with bits of the yarn/fibres pulled out.

A1 portfolio page: 'Art: Islands' Drawing Task

In groups we made a sculpture, and then drew a series of 6 drawings on A6 sized paper.  We were instructed to use a variety of methods such as; continuous line, negative space, drawing a net over your item etc.

A1 portfolio page: Perspective

Using pencil, I drew the image of bookcase using one point perspective. The drawing below is a 360 perspective view of what was around me, which was drawn in biro.

A1 portfolio page: 'Design: For Good' Sketches/Illustration

The sketches show the multiple ways in which I pinned a paper cut out, of a drawing I did, to a mannequin. The illustration presents dungarees I planned on upcycling for the Spring/Summer. I included samples of the fabric, and a design of the tag I'd put inside the garment.

A1 portfolio page: 'Islands' Final Illustration

Illustration drawn using pencil, fine liner and graphic marker. Samples included to show what was used to make the final outcome: stitch on a cotton strip, stitch on tracing paper, wire, paper straw, coloured acetate and a fabric sample.

A2 sized paper. This was drawn using charcoal, chalk, graphic marker, black marker and oil pastel.

A2 sized paper. Using charcoal, I drew the model whilst he walked around a stool. This shows the movement he was making within the drawing.

A1 portfolio page: 'The Message' Final Illustrations

Two A3 sheets of tracing paper used to illustrate final designs for 'The Message', using pencil, fineliner, graphic marker and acrylic paint.

I made a hooded jacket using recycled bubblewrap, parcel paper, envelopes and string. Using the bubble wrap, I printed onto the jacket with acrylic paint.
